What have I been up to lately?
》》》Working out with a trainer. Getting up at 4:45am at least twice a week to be at the gym by 5:30am is something like torture, but his evenings are booked. (Sigh.) Then we meet on Saturdays. I go to bed earlier now, cutting into my normal late night writing. Why is it that when I train hard, I write less?
Why am I training so hard? Because I need to. I’m a little thicker than I wanna be, I have clothes I wanna wear — and being fit just feels better. And my birthday is in August.
》》》Been busy at work. I have two business trips coming up — one to Las Vegas and one to San Francisco. I woke up this morning regretting accepting the trip to Vegas yesterday. I didn’t even think before saying Yes! I’ve never been there, and it’s all-expense paid. But. I’m feeling lazy.
》》》I have the day off today because I was initially going to Washington D.C. to perform some erotic poetry at CatalystCon. But with a trip to Cleveland, Ohio coming up in a few weeks, I decided against that considering the expense. Did I mention that I’m a bit of a home body? Always been. But I said I’d like to travel more and the Universe responded — instantly.
Ask, and you shall receive.
》》》Still having a birthday party this summer. I know how I’m wearing my hair and nails. And if I train hard enough, my outfit will be very provocative! I will train hard. Next Tuesday, I’ll go see another potential party venue in Manhattan. The event is only 5 months away! Obsessed much? Nahh.
》》》I have a few draft articles — about side chicks, married women, dusty dudes, etc, that I have to polish up and release.
Thinking about just going to work today to keep from wasting a vacation day! (One day out of my 5-week allotment.)
》》》Oh! I haven’t been dating much. Had a second date with a guy last weekend, but not much to say but mehhhhh. His demeanor and style…. Ehhh. And he needs to work out. You ever see someone who just looks sneaky??
***Right, re: working out and, I like men who train and have an active lifestyle (just one factor of course), which means I should be working out too. It’s a lifestyle. I’ve been training since 1999, I wanna say, and then at some point in between that I got a bit heavy (size 14) by being comfortable, sedentary, and somewhat depressed. Oooh! A story for another time. Went back to training in 2009.
Did I just go off on a tangent?
》》》I wish the weather in the Northeast would just break already. Need warmth.

Good for you and your training. I have made the opposite decision and have choose to stay up way latter than I should for my writing and gaming hobbies. That’s probably why I’m so tired right now

Dang– that’s a lot of work travel. Slightly envious over here but I’m sure it does get tiring.
I admire your discipline for training– I am all over the place and a total mess right now. I can’t seem to maintain my motivation for longer than a week at a time. *sigh*

I told myself I’d hire a personal trainer after I managed to lose X number of pounds on my own. Big shocker: I haven’t lost them yet 😉

I like your updates and it’s good your working with a trainer. I’ve only done the free orientations they give with gym memberships lol. But I started dancing again, still need to work out more, but it’s a start for me since I have been chilling hard for the last few months.

Thank you! Working with a trainer helps me snap back into discipline mode. It’s hard! I have the know-how to work out on my own, but getting consistent is most of the battle. Congrats on going back to dance? What kind of dancing do you do?

I take a *line dancing class (and just dance at home too lol). But want to try Belly dancing too, there’s a studio in my area and it looks fun.
