This.
For those who ask: “Single?? YOU? WHY??”
It’s sort of a compliment, but – I’m decidedly single. And definitely sexy. *snap, snap!*
On a side note, I had a nice dinner last night. Conversation was great. I smiled the whole time… Very attractive. Funny. Athletic. Chocolate. Tall. (Lawd have mercy.) But wait — I can’t write about that right now!!
Xoxo~~

That’s sounds like something a feminist would say. Please tell me you’re not a black feminist?

Reema, I don’t even have a definition of black feminist. Don’t read too much into it!

Wait. I’m just realizing which post you’re commenting on. What do you mean??? Which part of the post? And what’s your bag with feminists?

The whole single and liberated….I don’t like black feminist because they’re not for the black family. Black feminist talk about fake issues like Black male patriarchy, black male privilege, street harassment, etc. Black feminist ideologies sounds like something directly from white supremacist web sites.

Ohh. I can’t relate to what you’re saying insofar as I’m all about family. Lately I’ve been noticing a lot of articles on the subjects you mention. I was thinking that it’s bothersome the way they pit black men and women against each other. I get compliments from men every day that I walk the streets and I don’t consider it harassment. It is a real issue in certain areas but I think that movement has taken on unnecessary life. But in defense of women, there are a lot of men who hate us and that’s also an issue. A serious one. I’m for black men and women loving and supporting one another and building together. Call me an optimist – and not a feminist (as you describe it). I’m for uplifting and inspiring women. That’s part of my purpose.

I can co-sign everything you said. Black people really don’t understand racial politics and when they’re being used as pawns.

I got you. Re-reading the quote, I don’t think it fit that definition of feminism. I think it’s a good response to people who look at attractive single women like they have two heads. Check your email.
